Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB) are allowances given to people who have suffered an accident at work or contracted a disease because of their job. If you’re over 18 and are successful in applying, you will be entitled to anything between £30.06 and £150.30 per week depending upon the severity of your condition. Where an assessment deems you to be 100% disabled, you may also be entitled to other benefits and allowances.
What Can I Claim For?
Industrial injuries disablement benefit are not taxable and there are a variety of injury and disease types that can be claimed for. The current list spans 70 different injury types including:
- Noise Induced Hearing Loss / Industrial Deafness
- Vibration White Finger / Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS)
- Asbestos related conditions
- Work Related asthma
- Work related dermatitis
